How the work runs

Five stages, and the second exists to kill bad ideas cheaply

Concept

Mechanics, core loop and scope, written down so the cuts can be argued about before they get expensive.

Prototype

The core loop, playable and deliberately ugly. If it is not fun here, more art will not rescue it.

Production

The full build — content, art and audio — against a scope that was agreed rather than discovered halfway.

Testing

QA, playtesting and performance work on the hardware players actually own, not on a development machine.

Launch

Store submission, and the patch cadence afterwards that decides whether it keeps the players it got.
