Privacy

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your message, and your company name if you chose to give one, along with the IP address it was sent from. We use them to read your message and reply to it, and the IP address to limit abuse of the form. We do not sell any of it, and we do not add you to a mailing list — there isn’t one.

Submissions arrive as email and are also written to a log file on the server so a delivery failure cannot silently lose your message. A submission our spam checks stop is normally kept in a separate log rather than thrown away, so one stopped by mistake can still be found and answered. Where the checks have clear evidence of an automated sender, only the start of the message is kept, in a log with a size limit, so a flood of junk cannot fill the server. All of these are retained while the enquiry is live and for up to two years afterwards, then deleted.

To limit abuse, the server also keeps a record of when the form was last used from your network, identified only by a keyed hash of your IP address. It is cleared out routinely once it no longer counts toward that limit.

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (property G-DRP3JS2R09) to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and reports to Google. We look at totals and page paths; we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking the script — nothing on this site depends on analytics working.

The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA v3, which scores how likely a submission is to be automated. It runs in your browser and sends data to Google under Google’s privacy policy. We store the resulting score — or a note that the check could not run — alongside your submission so we can tell genuine enquiries from bots.

Email admin@ofodevelopment.com and ask. We will tell you what we have and delete it on request. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.
